In British Columbia, all persons transferring propane must hold a certificate of qualification from a Technical Safety BC-recognized training course. COURSE HIGHLIGHTS
Required Certification for Propane Transfer
Mandatory for all individuals who fill auto propane tanks in BC. Meets Technical Safety BC Directive D-GA-2017-01 requirements.
Theoretical & Practical Training
Covers TDG regulations, CSA B149.2 Code requirements, propane properties, safety equipment, filling procedures, and emergency response protocols.
Compliance-Driven
Aligned with CSA B149.2- 5.2.1 Propane Storage and Handling Code, Technical Safety BC Directives, Transport Canada, Measurement Canada, and WorkSafeBC OHSR standards.
3-Year Certification
Participants receive a Record of Training (ROT) certificate upon successful completion of written and practical examinations, valid for 3 years.
